Mold 038: SUNNY RAZGONI

Symbol: there is a long tradition behind the Russian razgoni honey cakes. These are the smaller-size cakes that were served at the end of a celebration and served as a polite indication that the party was over and it was time for the guests to leave. Hence the name - razgoni (from the verb "razognat'", literally, "to dismiss"). The razgoni were baked as one large cake, and then cut with a knife along the specially carved lines to make many small cakes. This mold is a master razgoni with 9 small cakes, each one with a deeply symbolical pattern based on the symbol of the Sacred Vortex, swastika. This is why this razgoni is called "Sunny" - symbolizing the turning of the Sun in the sky. I will go over them row by row, from left to right.
(1) Kolard and Solard - symbols protecting the families (especially young families and women expecting to give birth or young mothers);
(2) Svarga - symbol of the Universe and the universal order;
(3) Rodovik (from the Russian rod - kin; Rod is also the god of kin, it was represented with erect statues - thence the word "rod" in English!) - signifying the force of God the Creator and his support to people working for the benefit of their kins and their descendants. When pressed on a cookie, this symbol (rather, its mirror reflection) becomes another powerful symbol - bogovnik - from Russian word bog, god, the symbol representing the protection by the Gods of Light to the man or woman on his or her way to spiritual perfection.
(4) two-handed swastika; swastika is one of the most ancient symbols representing the basic principle the Universe is built upon - the Vortex. On this part of the mold, it is the "two-handed" swastika which is carved, representing the union of the opposites (male and female, light and darkness, etc.) bringing about this rotational motion;
(5) The symbol on this mold is well over 2000 years old. It is called Rodimich (from the Russian rod - kin; Rod is also the God of Kin, it was represented with erect statues - thence the word "rod" in English!). This symbol signifies the wisdom of ancestors coming down to posterity, family wisdom preserved through generations. This symbol makes the mold exceptionally good fit for a meaningful family heirloom. Noteworthy, when you press a cookie with it, you will get a symbol which is a mirror reflection of Rodimich and is also a meaningful symbol called Svarozhich (from the Russian Svarog - God the Creator) and maintains life and diversity of living forms in our Universe;
(6) this is the symbol of the Power of Vortex - the energy of the primary, original rotation of the Universe.
(7) a grid making up a swastika - on of the traditional ways to depict the Sacred Vortex, also extensively used in traditional Russian costume;
(8) Odolen' Trava - protecting from diseases, while its imprint, Tsvetok Paporotnika possesses exceptional curative powers.
(9) dukhovnaya swastika (spirit's swastika) represents harmony and unity of body, soul, spirit and conscience, as well as spiritual powers. This symbol was used to gain power over elements. The imprint of this symbol gives another symbol, dushevnaya swastika (soul's swastika), which serves to concentrate the Divine curative forces.

Wood: yellow birch (Betula alleghaniensis). Yellow birch has an extremely beautiful patterned wood with a dark-brown heart. This mold was traditionally treated to make it beautiful and durable. It was permeated with 100% natural beeswax (to seal wood's pores, make it waterproof and durable, and intensify the yellow birch's incredible color), and hand rubbed with 100% organic food grade linseed oil (to add a glossy shiny look).

Dimensions: 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 x 1 1/2 in (24 x 24 x 3,5 cm).
