Mold 036: SON OF ROD Symbol: The symbol on this mold is well over 2000 years old. It is called Rodimich (from the Russian rod - kin; Rod is also the God of Kin, it was represented with erect statues - thence the word "rod" in English!). This symbol signifies the wisdom of ancestors coming down to posterity, family wisdom preserved through generations. This symbol makes the mold exceptionally good fit for a meaningful family heirloom. Noteworthy, when you press a cookie with it, you will get a symbol which is a mirror reflection of Rodimich and is also a meaningful symbol called Svarozhich (from the Russian Svarog - God the Creator) and maintains life and diversity of living forms in our Universe.Wood: yellow birch (Betula alleghaniensis). Yellow birch has an extremely beautiful patterned wood with a dark-brown heart. This mold was traditionally treated to make it beautiful and durable. It was permeated with 100% natural beeswax (to seal wood's pores, make it waterproof and durable, and intensify the yellow birch's incredible color), and hand rubbed with 100% organic food grade linseed oil (to add a glossy shiny look).
